SS10: Constrained Optimization and Application(ISICA 2017 Special Session)

Most of the science and engineering optimization problems in the real world are highly constrained. These constrained optimization problems present serious challenges to existing optimization methods. Evolutionary algorithms (EAs) have been shown to be powerful tools for optimization problems, which are ubiquitous in constrained optimization problems (COPs). This session provides a forum for researchers to present and discuss the latest research results, to summarize recent advances, to evaluate existing algorithms and methods, and to timely identify and address emerging problems and challenges with regard to constrained optimization and its application.

Scope

Potential authors for this Special Session should present original research and innovative results including (but not limited to) the following topics:

  • Constrained evolutionary algorithms based on penalty
  • Stochastic ranking
  • Feasibility rules
  • Multi-objective
  • Dynamic methods for constraint handling
  • Ensemble of constraint-handling techniques
  • Applications of the constrained methods
